Pierre Bardier
I am a postdoctoral researcher in theoretical economics at the GATE Lyon Saint-Étienne. From September 2027, I will hold an FNRS research fellowship for three years at the CORE in the Catholic University of Louvain.My research spans economic design and welfare economics —with a specific focus on fair division, social choice, voting— and individual decision making.
I defended my Ph.D in April 26 at Paris School of Economics and École Normale Supérieure de Paris. I am extremely happy to have worked under the supervision of Marc Fleurbaey. I visited twice the department of economics of the University of Rochester at the invitation of Professor William Thomson. I also visited the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Tokyo, at the invitation of Professor Susumu Cato.
Before my Ph.D, I was studying at École Normale Supérieure de Paris for 5 years, during which I completed in particular a MSc in economics at Paris School of Economics and a MSc in mathematics at Paris-I-Panthéon-Sorbonne.
